the khmer rouge were never tried in any trial for violation of human rights.after they were overthrown,cambodia began a painful process of stability,and is still unsure about its future today.
pol pot and all the leaders of the genocide hid out in the mountains,and western powers never used force to bring them out.in 1998,pol pot died a peaceful death from old age,without paying for a genocide that was comparable to hitler's.
the western media has projected him as the very worst of humanity-but in the strange play of american politics,the khmer rouge was never officially denounced.because they opposed vietnam,american powers were always lenient towards them.
many khmer rouge leaders are still alive and living well today.
this last photo is the deathbed of pol pot-april 15,1998,the man who murdered one third of his people.he died peacefully,as did nixon,april 22 1994,after starting it all and killing a comparable number of cambodians.
